These Cards Are Made From Your Memories

"How interesting, then, that the King of Dust has taken his place at the top of my court..."

So the other day, I was practicing my Hand of Fate fandom by trying to come up with my own deck. I thought of having a suit of Shells where the faces were people from KoopaKlanElite.com, when it occurred to me that the real King of Shells would be Bowser. Remembering that the cards in Hand of Fate were created from the Adventurer's memories, I wondered what the game would look like if different heroes played the game. I was originally going to have Mario as the player, but thinking it over, it seemed more fitting to have Link, being a sword-wielding adventurer in his own fantasy world.

This is probably the most complex thing I've ever drawn. Two characters, a full foreground, so many two-point perspectives it was hard making the lines out sometimes, but I made it. I tried to be as accurate to the game as I could, but some things I didn't realize were wrong until it was too late, some were because the table was already getting crowded with lines and I didn't want to do a three-point perspective leaning book... and also the candle's on the wrong side, but that's because otherwise it would block the view of the board. The card was also the hardest part to draw (and not what I expected to be the hardest part) because the convergence points for the perspective were so far off the page I wasted the whole morning on it; it was also supposed to be in front of the others and more in the corner, with some accompanying text like in the game, but I messed up in compositing. I probably shoul've also shaded / shadowed it, but drawing this distracted me from working on my WAG Challenge project and my Wii Fit Plus workout routine for the entire drawing time, so I hope you understand me wanting this finished.
